Regents honor ABAC renovation
For Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the Historic Front Campus Project revitalized the “front door” of ABAC in a landmark fashion. For that monumental endeavor which culminated with a rededication ceremony on March 1, ABAC has received the Regents Award of Excellence from the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.
Victorian Village by Candlelight set for Dec. 8 in Tifton
Experience holiday life in the 1880s with Victorian Village by Candlelight from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Tickets for this event are $15 per person and are now on sale at the Country Store. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold on the day of the event.

The impact of high school students dually enrolled in classes at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will receive a significant boost with the establishment of the Baldwin Academy, a new program designed for top academic students.

The music majors at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College will present recitals on Dec. 2 and Dec. 4-5 at 4 p.m. each day in the Chapel of All Faiths. The performances are open to the public at no charge.

Georgia Peanut Commission to hold Farmer Appreciation Day
The Georgia Peanut Commission, in cooperation with the National Peanut Buying Points Association and peanut food manufacturers, will host the 2013 Farmer Appreciation Day at the GPC office located in Tifton, Ga., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.
