Freshmen teams fall to Lowndes



MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County ninth-grade basketball teams dropped a pair of games at Lowndes on Wednesday.

The freshman boys fell to 4-3 on the season after 44-26 defeat at the hands of the Vikings.

Stacey Blackwell led the Packers with 11 points.

Matt Sailor, Alec Daniels and Quan Nelson each had three points; Ty Smith and Devontay Ward each had two; and Tre Scott had a free throw.

The ninth-grade girls fell 41-32 despite 11 points by Miranda Trim.

Destini Giddens had nine, Breanna Jordan had five, Kwante’sha Love had three and Jermaya Richardson and Ketroia Peterson scored two points each.

The ninth-grade girls fall to 0-4.

The ninth-graders will play Cairo next Wednesday.
