MOULTRIE — The Packers won their opening game in the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department’s 12-and-under boys basketball league on Tuesday, defeating the Hawks 25-22

Jamoree Pace led the Packers with nine points. Darian Edwards added nine.

Aikaari Ryce had four and Jamius Jordan and Marviq Richardson each had two points.

Marcus Lewis Jr. and Daniel Lewis each had six points for the Hawks.

Savonta Slaughter had five and Donta Wilson added four.

The Thunder and the Celtics won their 9-and-under openers.

Cameron Singletary scored 12 points to lead the Celtics to a 16-11 victory over the Lakers.

Rohan Bishop and Jamarius Walker each had two points for the Celtics. Xavier Powell had six, Lee Pittman had three and Jake Merritt ad two for the Lakers.

Tory Ponder had 12 and Benard Snelling had 11 to lead the Thunder to a 25-19 victory over Hawks.

Demontae Williams had two for the Thunder.

JeDacus Ward had 10 points to lead the Hawks.

Ejarion Davis scored four, Jaquan Willis had three and Jaheim Ward had two for the Hawks.

Diamond Hall scored 15 points and Emily Dozier had 14 as the Thunder opened their recreation girls season with a 37-20 victory over the Rays.

Akia Sutton added eight points for the Thunder.

Angelica Sangster had 14 points for the Rays. Kiarra Lovett added six.
