MOULTRIE — For those who may have missed Lauryn McCalley’s Jan. 27 interview on ESPN2’s Cold Pizza, it is available on the University of Tennessee web site.
McCalley, the Colquitt County and Moss Farms diver and five-time All-American at the University of Tennessee, was named the NCAA’s 2005 Woman of the Year in October and talked with ESPN2’s Jay Crawford about her career as a student/athlete.

• Former Packer John Michael Hall continues to have an outstanding season at Abraham Baldwin College. In the Stallions 101-67 victory over Truett-McConnell on Saturday, Hall 16 points in 21 minutes.
“John Michael can shoot the ball,” ABAC head coach Todd Sheppard told The Tifton Gazette following the game.
“He had opportunities early and shot it with confidence. He went out ready to play.”
Hall also had 17 points when ABAC defeated Gordon College 114-74 on Jan. 24.
The Stallions, now 13-10 overall and winners of eight of their last 10, will meet the Mercer junior varsity today.
ABAC will return home to meet Coastal Georgia at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Gressette Gymnasium.
• Adam Anderson will make his debut as a member of the Valdosta State University baseball team when the Blazers meet Columbus State at home at 4 p.m. today.
Valdosta State’s scheduled season-openers at Eckerd on Feb. 3 and 4 were rained out.
Anderson, who played the last two seasons at South Georgia College, will be wearing the familiar jersey No. 22 he wore for the Tigers.
On Feb. 21, Valdosta State will play Georgia Southwestern in a game in which Anderson and former Colquitt County High teammate Jake Mobley will square off.
Mobley is a senior third baseman for the Hurricanes, who have opened with a 2-2 record.
• Another former Packer, red-shirt freshman first baseman Will Southwell, made his debut with the Georgia Southern baseball team on Sunday in the Eagles’ 11-3 victory over North Florida.
The Eagles played at Jacksonville on Tuesday and will play host to Georgia Tech on Saturday and Sunday at J.I. Clements Stadium in Statesboro.
• Former Colquitt County High Region 1-AAAAA Player of the Year Aaron Eubanks has transferred to Georgia Southern from Clemson and is on the Eagles roster as well.
• Chad Smith, who started at catcher for Colquitt County the last two seasons, is playing for Darton College under Glenn Eames this season.
• The Johnson C. Smith women’s basketball team took a 10-game winning streak into Tuesday’s home game against Virginia State.
The Lady Bulls defeated Livingstone 82-69 on Saturday to raise their overall record to 14-6 and their Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association record 9-0.
