MOULTRIE — Morris Orthodontics tightened its grip on first place in the Tiny Mites softball league following a 13-4 victory over W&W Farms Thursday night at the Jim Buck Goff Recreation Complex.
W&W Farms is the only team to have defeated Morris Orthodontics this season.
Lexi Griner, Elizabeth Funderburk and Gracie Frazier scored two runs each for the victors. Emily McCracken scored two runs for W&W Farms.
In the Tiny Mite nightcap, Dairy Queen defeated Fuller’s 18-9.
Hunter Burgess, Lexi Stanfill, Crystin Cooper and Gracie Frazier led the Dairy Queen attack with three runs each. Cheyenne Grimm hit a home run.
Shelby Tidwell, Sydney Wheeler and Tia Beth Wilson scored two runs each for Fuller’s.
In Midget girls play, Wonderland scored seven first-inning runs en route to a 9-1 victory over J&J Metal Works. Jenna Pope and Antoinette Myers each went 2-for-2 and scored two runs for Wonderland.
Ashleigh Childs went 2-for-2 and scored J&J’s only run.
In the second game, league-leading VFW defeated Morris Orthodontics 18-1.
Tremyia Robinson, Cheyenne Sumner and Taylor Owens scored three runs each.
Ainsley Davis and Ansleigh Lindsey scored two runs and Shelby Rakestraw hit a home run for VFW.
In Mite League action, Morris Orthodontics held off a late Bull Durham Insurance rally to pick up a 7-6 victory.
Nikki Johnson, Brady Jarvis and Summer Fambro scored two runs each, with Jarvis and Fambro hitting triples.
Erika Summerlin hit a bases-loaded triple to keep the game close for Bull Durham Insurance.
In the second Mite game, Triangle Furniture halted its losing skid with a 7-3 victory over Rocky’s.
