Wonderland routs Morris Orthodontics

MOULTRIE — Wonderland got two runs each from eight players and went on to defeat Morris Orthodontics 21-5 in Midget girls softball action on Tuesday at the Jim Buck Goff Recreation Complex.
Ashlyn Hamilton, Martisa Lawton, Savanna Morgan, Maiya Thompson, Jenna Pope, Cheyenne Tillman, Antoinette Myers and Kasie Ricks led Coach Ricky Sprayberry’s offense.
Meaghan Coats scored two runs and Madison Hawkins went 3-for-3 and scored for Coach Christy Crosby’s Morris Orthodontics team.
In other Midget League action, VFW outscored J&J Metal Works 12-7.
Shelby Rakestraw, Ansleigh Lindsey, Taylor Owens and Cheyenne Sumner scored two runs each for VFW.
Ashleigh Childs scored two runs for J&J Metal Works.
In Mite League play, Bull Durham Insurance defeated Triangle Furniture 9-7 in a hard-fought showdown.
Amber Kling, Diana Durham and Hayli Spradley scored two runs each for Bull Durham Insurance.
Alex Gibbs gave an outstanding effort in a losing cause for Triangle Furniture. Gibbs collected three hits in three at bats and scored three runs. Two of her hits were a a home run and a double.
Hana Kirk also scored two runs.
In Tiny Mite play, Morris Orthodontics outscored Fuller’s 18-7.
For Morris Orthodontics, Alexis Griner, Elizabeth Funderburk, Emily Dozier, Morgan Fedd, Nikki Edge and Samantha Crawford scored two runs each.
Skylar Scala and Josie Parker scored two runs each for Fuller’s.
In the Tiny Mite nightcap, Dairy Queen outlasted W&W Farms 11-10. Crystin Cooper and Lexi Stanfill scored two runs each for Dairy Queen.
Mary Grace Harbin, Mackenzie Simmons, Tristan Arrington and Emily McCracken scored two runs each for W&W Farms.
