MOULTRIE — Former outstanding Colquitt County High defensive back Dontrell Johnson, who played the last two seasons at Garden City (Kan.) Community College, has been named to the All-Conference team.

Johnson had 43 tackles, three interceptions and six pass breakups for the Broncbusters this season.

One of the interceptions he returned for a touchdown.

In the 2008 season, Johnson had eight interceptions, including three of which he returned for touchdowns.

He also had 60 tackles, two fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.

Johnson is expected to sign with a four-year school to compete his college eligibility.

While playing for Colquitt County, he led the Packers in tackles for two years in a row and was a two-time All-Region selection. As a senior, he had two interceptions and was a productive receiver as well, catching seven passes, including three for touchdowns.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynward Spry.
