The Colquitt County ninth-grade basketball team got 15 points from Michael French and withstood the Worth County trapping defense in the second half to defeat the Rams 41-34 on Wednesday on the William Bryant Court at the Gladys Espy Gymnasium.

Mitchell leads middle school swim team
Kaitlyn Mitchell took a pair of first-place finishes to lead Colquitt County in the recent Coffee Middle School Invitational swim meet in Douglas.
Norcross could be better than 2012 state championship team
Many of the Norcross players who hurt Colquitt County the most in the Blue Devils 41-27 state semifinal victory last season have graduated.
