8th-grade teams win three of four in Leesburg
The Colquitt County eighth-grade girls basketball team won both of its games in the Lee County Middle School Tournament held Saturday in Leesburg, raising its record to 6-0.
The eighth-grade boys split their two games.
Colquitt basketball teams to play at home on Tuesday
The Colquitt County boys basketball team will try to bounce back from Saturday’s overtime loss when it plays host to Bainbridge at 7:30 tonight on the William Bryant Court at the Gladys Espy Gymnasium.

The Colquitt County seventh-grade boys basketball team dropped two games in the Lee County tournament on Saturday and lost to Tift County on Monday to fall to 2-4 on the season.

YMCA Award winners
The Moultrie YMCA presented its annual awards on Dec. 2. Lady Packers defeat Albany High
The Colquitt County girls basketball team defeated Albany High 51-21 on the road on Saturday as it tried to get two of its starters back in shape after they missed an earlier game with the flu.
Moultrie Hawgs jell quickly to win Thanksgiving Bowl
The Moultrie Hawgs 7- and 8-year-old all-star team had just two weeks to prepare for the recent Thanksgiving Bowl in Tifton, but managed to come together and get Moultrie’s first championship in that age group.
