Chipping up

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County golf teams’ booster club held its fund-raising golf tournament on Monday at Sunset Country Club. Braden Traylor, a freshman member of the Packers golf team, gets up on the green.

    The Colquitt County High boys basketball team was honored at its annual banquet on Thursday at the high school cafeteria. Among those honored were the Packers three All-Region 1-AAAAAA selections. They are, from left, Shaheem Ponder, Sebastian Courtney and Xavier Terry. Ponder and Courtney will return to the Packers lineup next season. Terry is a senior.

    Hutchinson-Traylor scored two runs in the top of the sixth and held Ameris to just one in the bottom of the inning to take a 5-4 Midget League victory on Thursday at the Magnolia Sports Complex.
