Two middle school wrestlers win conference titles

MOULTRIE —  Colquitt County middle school wrestlers Hayes Sumner and Jamie Morgan won championships and teammates John Lewis, Alex Everett and Tyler Robinson finish as runners-up at the South Georgia Athletic Conference championships held Saturday in Adel.

Ethan Dean and Josh Young placed third and Jay Ward, Hayden Suggs and Tucker Buckner finished fourth.

“We carried 19 kids and 10 placed in the top four,” coach Kevin Sumner said. “We had an awsome day. The kids wrestled the best they have all year.

“All 19 kids won their first round matches, with some being their first wins of the year.

“They peaked at the right time.”

Sumner said having 10 wrestlers in the finals for the top four spots at the tournament “is a huge deal.

“The kids have worked hard this year and we are very proud of their accomplishments,” Sumner said of the middle school team.

No. Never.
Generally no, but prisoner exchanges are an exception.
