Fire damages Moultrie home

MOULTRIE — A Moultrie home was heavily damaged Tuesday when an attempt to extinguish the flames was unsuccessful. Moultrie firefighters were dispatched to the 2435 Jacqueline Circle residence of Michael Henry at about 12:17 p.m. Tuesday.

A grease fire that got out of control spread into the attic and adjoining walls of the house, Moultrie Fire Department reports said. The house had heavy fire damage to the stove, cabinets, walls, ceilings and attic, the reports said. There was moderate smoke damage to the rest of the house.
