Pastor Appreciation

Kingwood Baptist Church, on Veterans Parkway, will celebrate its Pastor Appreciation, Friends Day and Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 14, featuring Sunday school and worship service, followed by dinner in the fellowship hall. There will be testimony and banjo-picking by special guest, C.E. Pullen.

Writing Workshop

A “Writing Workshop for Veterans”" will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. to noon, at the Moultrie-Colquitt County Library. The workshop will be led by Jeff Newberry, a published author and associate professor of English at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Call the library at 229-985-6540 to register.
