Mother Easter Baptist Church will celebrate its 118th church anniversary starting at 11 a.m., on Sunday, July 15. The theme for the day will be 'Remembrance and Renewal; Celebrating Our Past, Anticipating Our Future.' The guest speaker will be Chief Judge Willie Earl Lockette, assistant pastor of New Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cordele, Ga. He is the superior court judge of Dougherty County. He and his wife have four children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
