NORMAN PARK — Agnes Harrod Baker, 87, of Norman Park, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Adel Memorial Health Center.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Buck Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlton Tyler officiating. Burial will follow in Buck Creek Cemetery with Mark Harrod, Mike Murphy, Devaughn Ross, Bobby Underwood, Alex Harrod and Edward Walker serving as pallbearers.

Born May 29, 1922, in Tift County, she was the daughter of the late Ansell Blount and Jennie Moore Blount. She was a homemaker and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, L.B. Harrod and Harvard S. Baker; and a brother, Peter Tyler.

Survivors include sons, L.B. Harrod Jr. of Helen, Ga., and Charles A. Harrod of Norman Park; a sister, Omie Bell Ethridge of Omega; grandchildren, Mark Harrod of Lincolnton, Ga., Mia Harrod Martin and husband James of Norman Park, Laura Harrod Flanders and husband Jason of Athens, Ga., and Ashley Harrod of Statesboro, Ga.; and a great-grandchild, Sadie Martin.

Visitation will be today, Dec. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

The family will receive friends at 1423 Ellenton-Omega Road in Norman Park.
