LEESBURG, Ga. — Annie Ruth Rabon, 85, of Leesburg, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Phoebe Putney Hospital.

The funeral will be conducted today, March 24, at 11 a.m., at Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Moye officiating. Interment will follow in Leesburg City Cemetery.

A native of Americus, Ga., she had lived in Leesburg since 1960 moving from Albany, Ga. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Holley and Annie Halstead Holley; her husband, Carlton Edward Rabon Sr.; and a grandson, Chris Harrell.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice Harrell and her husband Gene of Albany, Ga. and Louise Clark and her husband Sam of Worth County; two sons, Carlton E. Rabon Jr. and his wife Nella of Middletown, Pa. and Tommy Rabon and his wife Joyce of Moultrie; one sister, Mary Alice Moore and her husband Pete of Florida; one brother, Alfred Holley of Douglas, Ga.; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Monday evening at Mathews Funeral Home.
