DOERUN — Charles Edwin Deal, 77, of Doerun, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at Bridge Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder C.A. Blanton and Elder Emory Carlton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jimmy Clark, Bobby Harrah, Jack Tumlin, Earl Massey, Sammy Massey, Terry Carlton, Toby Carlton and Royce Jordan.

Born Dec. 25, 1930, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Arthur Carl Deal and Martha Irene Massey Deal. He was a retired branch manager of Ace Electric in Gainesville, Fla., and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles M. Deal.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Murphy Deal of Doerun; a son, Stevie Deal of Bridgeboro, Ga.; a brother, Ray Deal and wife Jerri of Slaughter, La.; two sisters, Earline Livingston and husband Allen of Magnolia, Texas, and Sandra Turner and husband Floyd of Albany, Ga.; and one grandchild, Chris Jordan and wife Racheal of Tallahassee, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 15, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
