The Cherokee Garden Club made a trip to Valdosta to Loch Laurel Nursery on Feb. 3. Mark Crawford, owner, gave a tour of his camellias and then gave a detailed demonstration on how to prepare the ground, how to properly plant, and how to maintain a camellia for this area. The many beautiful blossoms and newly developed plants seemed to be an inspiration to the ladies. From the left, Barbara Fallin, Barbara Jones, Mark Crawford, Mary Whitfield, Jennifer DeMott, Margaret Griner, Katherine Millings, Cindy Dempsey, Betty Clark, Lynda Mosley and Beth Alligood (not shown).
