MOULTRIE — Evelyn Schramm Gregory, 80, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Woodlands Living Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be John Manders, Jason Connell, Bobby Tucker, Curtis Rogers, Shane Long and Lynn Johnson.

Born Sept. 16, 1927, in Polk County, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Charlie Ferdinand Schramm and Nora Lula Smith Schramm. She was a retired seamstress with Riverside Manufacturing and was a member of Moultrie Church of God and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She was well known for her good cooking, especially her home made chicken and dumplings, her family said.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Gregory; one son, Marion Gregory; five brothers, Marvin Schramm, Calvin Schramm, Charles Schramm, Lowell Schramm and James Schramm.

Survivors include two sons, Phil Gregory and wife Maggie and Craig Gregory, all of Moultrie; two brothers, David Schramm of Tarrant City, Ala. and Fred Schramm of Mt. Vernon, Ga.; one sister, Louvenia Wells of Moultrie; six grandchildren, Tim Gregory, Missy Tucker, Jim Gregory, Phillip Gregory Jr., Tristen Gregory, and Ethan Gregory; three step-granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
