TAMPA, Fla. — James Edward “Tommy” Dunn, 58, of Tampa, Fla., died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at Bay Pines Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at Life Springs Community Church in Moultrie with the Rev. Wesley “Allen” Dunn and the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn City Cemetery in Adel, Ga. with military honors.

Born Dec. 28, 1949, in Thomas County, he lived in Florida and New York and lived in Tampa, Fla. for the last five or six years. He was a United States Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Dunn Jr. and a brother, Johnny Dunn.

Survivors include his mother, Leila Thomas Dunn Brant of Tampa, Fla.; brother, the Rev. Wesley “Allen” Dunn and wife Judy of Tampa, Fla.; five sisters, Doris Hawkins and husband John of Moultrie, Sarah Beasley and husband Bill of Moultrie, Teresa Aramas and husband Dr. Ignacio Aramas of Tampa, Fla., Carol Simmons of Moultrie, and Susan Dunn and Mark Alexander of Adel, Ga.

The family will receive friends today, Aug. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Hwy. 41 South.
