MOULTRIE — Lonnie White, 69, of Moultrie died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at his residence.

Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Willow Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Corey McGee officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Pallbearer No. 2 Cemetery. Ricky White, Curtis Yates, Brad Yates, Craig Richardson, Johnny Coates and Adrian Robinson will serve as active pallbearers.

Born May 5, 1940, in Wilcox County, Mr. White was the son of Fannie Mae Thornton Fulton and the late Semon White. He was a truck driver for Industrial Frame and Welder for many years.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenyetta Everett White Sr.; and one sister, Virginia White.

Survivors include his mother, Fannie Mae Fulton of Moultrie; three sons, Lonnie Wayne White, Raymond “Pookie” White and Ricky White, all of Moultrie; one daughter, Margarett White of Moultrie; four brothers, Roosevelt White and wife Jeanette of Washington, D.C., Dennis A. White of Columbia, S.C., Raymond White of Greensboro, N.C., and Chris White and wife Sherice of Moultrie; six sisters, Christine Barlow and husband Walter of Brooksville, Fla., Dorotha White of Daytona Beach, Fla., Annie Bell McIntyre of Phoenix and Shebretta Jones and Craig Richardson, Mary W. Hall and husband Mercer and Monica White, all of Moultrie; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Irene Slaughter; and nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 610 12th Ave. N.W.
