The Pioneers of Pine Grove, met in February, for its regular monthly meeting.
Norma Jean Conger, called the meeting to order. Joe Dismuke prayed for a blessing on the food and for the prayer requests.
The theme for the meeting was Valentines Day, and special recognition was given to those couples present that were married over 50 years. Those recognized were the Rev. Preston and Avis Norman, Enos and Jackie Flowers, and Jessie and Betty Howard. Jessie and Betty had been married the longest. They will celebrate 58 years in June.
The devotion was given by Norma Jean Conger, from Eph. 5, “Husbands, love your wife, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it.”
Those having birthdays in February were recognized. They were Ken Snipes, Mike White, James Tabor, Doris Ragan, Wayne Lee, and Julia Hiers. Wayne Lee won the “Special Birthday Gift Card.”
A dinner of grilled steak and chicken was prepared, and served, by the youth and youth leaders.
