MOULTRIE — William Jennings Bryan, 87, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at Woodlands Living Center.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Moultrie with the Rev. Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in Andersonville National Cemetery.

Born Jan. 9, 1922, in Harrisonbury, Va., he was the son of the late Vivian Leake Bryan and Harry Bryan. He attended Bridgewater College in Virginia. He was retired from the garment manufacturing industry. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by brothers, James, Charles, Harry Lee and Eugene Bryan.

Survivors include his wife Frances Mildred Dewey Bryan; sons, Allen Bryan and wife Katie of Peachtree City, Ga., and Andrew Bryan and wife Lynda of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Genevieve Marcus and husband Scott of Albany, Ga.; and grandchildren, William, Alexandra, Samuel, Michael and Emma Bryan and Martha and Jennings Marcus.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, in First Baptist Church Chapel.

Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
