MOULTRIE – It was a first half of ball control domination by North Cobb High and its freshman quarterback Malachi Singleton. Even by running only 20 plays, it is still a halftime lead for the Colquitt County High Packers of 7-0 Friday on Tom White Field at Mack Tharpe Stadium.

This is the opening round of the GHSA 7A football playoffs.

Of the 20 snaps, Jaycee Harden's 51-yard touchdown strike to Tajh Sanders at 2:47 of the first quarter accounted for the only points of the half. Harden is 5-for-7 passing for 80 yards; the Packers' total offense number is 86 yards.

Singleton rushed for 100 yards even on 17 carries and passed for an additional 40 on four completions. But he was sacked twice by Packer linebacker Ty French.
