MOULTRIE, Ga. — Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 501 Eighth St. N.W., will observe its annual Deaconess Ministry at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
This year’s theme — “Walking in Christian Love, The Fragrance of Christ” — is based on Ephesians 5:1-2.
Guest speaker for this event is Evangelist Bonita Bailey.
Bailey, the youngest daughter of Richard Moore Jr., and Apostle Julia Grant Berry, was born and raised in Valdosta. She was educated in the Valdosta City School System and is a proud member of the Class of 1986. She received her foundation at an early age as a member of the Independent African Methodist Episcopal Church in Valdosta.
In August 2008 Bailey acknowledged a divine calling on her life. In October 2011 she was ordained as an evangelist. She is a servant at Church at Pine Hill in Valdosta, under the leadership of Pastor Alex Bunion and Evangelist Vera Bunion.
Bailey has many talents that are demonstrated in her service provided to the families of Godfrey Funeral Home, LLC and her creative endeavors of “B” Unique Designs and Events, which is geared toward events of celebration.
Currently employed by the Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Bailey is the wife of Deacon William Bailey and the mother of one son, Darius Knight, and his wife Camilla.
