To be eligible for the Academic Achievement List, a student must previously earn at least 12 credit hours at GSW, be enrolled in 3 to 11 hours of courses, and earn a 3.5 or higher GPA.

SUNY Potsdam

Graduation

POTSDAM, N.Y. — The State University of New York at Potsdam will recognize nearly 900 candidates for graduation during the College’s 2019 Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 18. The SUNY Potsdam Class of 2019 will be awarded baccalaureate and master’s degrees at the ceremony.

Leslie Stilwell of Omega, Ga., is set to graduate summa cum laude from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Middle/Secondary Social Studies Education.

Jacksonville State

Graduation

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. — Melissa Pullen of Coolidge, Ga., has graduated with an Emergency Management degree from Jacksonville State University. Pullen was among the 774 students honored at commencement on May 3, 2019.

For the first time, new university provost Dr. Christie Shelton served as mistress of ceremonies.

Emily Manasco — who was among the first to receive a bachelor’s in respiratory therapy from JSU this spring — served as the student commencement speaker. FedEx executive and JSU alumna Cheryl L. Bevelle-Orange (BS, Computer & Information Systems and Marketing, 1990) provided the keynote address. The bell ringer was Reyna Ramirez, who graduated with a bachelor’s in nursing.
