MOULTRIE — Two people were taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center for injuries from a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon.

Aubrey Baggett, of 2306 Highway 133 S., and Maria Davis, of 909 12th Ave. S.E., were each taken to Colquitt Regional for their injuries. A hospital spokesperson said both were treated and released Monday.

Baggett, driving a Nissan pickup truck, was pulling out of her house at got onto Highway 133 near the Dean Matthews Road intersection at 1:04 p.m. Monday. A Honda Accord, driven by Davis, was driving south on Highway 133 and collided with the truck’s driver’s side. A passenger in the Accord told the officer the truck pulled out onto Highway 133 right in front of them, and they could not avoid a collision.

The officer was unable to speak with Davis about the collision because of her injuries. Baggett was cited for failure to yield when entering an intersection, but Davis was not cited or charged. Both drivers were taken to Colquitt Regional for injury complaints.
