A Moultrie man injured in a Thursday morning accident remained hospitalized Friday, with the other driver charged with driving with a suspended license.
Moultrie Police Department reports said that Tony Darrick Jarvis, of Tree Farm Road, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 319 turning left into a driveway at Ice House America at 6:53 a.m.
The 1004 Chevrolet 1500 collided nearly head on with a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera driven by Clayton Edward Hutto of Denham Road in Norman Park.
Jarvis told the officer he blacked out and did not know what happened. Witnesses said that Jarvis turned into the path of Hutto, who told police he did not have time to stop.
Jarvis was in good condition Friday at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said. Hutto was treated and released Friday morning.
Hutto was charged with driving while license suspended, police reports said.
