MOULTRIE, Ga. — Tommy Charles Stewart of Albany, Ga. was arrested on Tuesday and charged with distribution of ecstasy.
Investigator Justin Searcy with the Colquitt County Drug Enforcement Team said he was requested to follow up on a drug related case involving a traffic stop conducted by a Doerun police officer that night.
At about 11:46 p.m., the Doerun officer observed a vehicle speeding and a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
The Doerun officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, Searcy said. Through the search, the officer and investigators located 88 ecstasy pills, a marijuana grinder, digital scale and a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle, he said.
