TIFTON — The Third Annual Tifton Antique Show and Sale, featuring antiques from approximately 25 antique dealers from around the Southeast, is scheduled for Oct. 24-25, at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center. The Tifton-Tift County Public Library Foundation, a nonprofit organization, conducts the show and sale to benefit the local public library.

This year’s show includes speakers on Saturday, Oct. 24, from Biltmore Estates in Ashville, N.C., and from Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia, Pa. The Biltmore Estate lecture will be from 11 a.m. to noon and the Longwood Garden lecture will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. There will be a luncheon at noon. Money raised is used to enhance the library’s collections and programming. Admission to the show is $5. The show gets under way on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Attendees may bring items for appraisal by show director Charlie Miller on Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m., and on Sunday, from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $5 per item.
