MOULTRIE — A Colquitt County man’s car disappeared and a witness said he saw a wrecker carrying the car away.

Ronald Strickland, of the 5100 block of Highwy 33 North, told police that a 1992 Volkswagen Cabriolet convertible had been removed from his residence. It had been there several months as he worked on it as a project. The witness recalled seeing a wrecker hauling it away several weeks ago.

Strickland told police the car was valued at $2,000.

• Tequila Horn, 25, 70 Regency Village, was charged Wednesday with duty to obey police officer.

Sheriff’s Office

• Janice Acosta, 200 block Tompkins Road, reported Wednesday that a female family member shoved her during an argument.

Acosta told police that when she tried to call 911 the girl grabbed the phone out of her hand to prvevent her from making the call. 

She did not wish to press charges through Colquitt County Juvenile Court, sheriff’s reports said.

Sheriff’s Office

• Joyce Cooper, 4600 block Tallokas Road, reported Wdenesday that her debit card information was used by someone who made a purchase of $155 at a Wal-Mart store in Virginia.
