MOULTRIE — Two Moultrians have been charged in the hit-and-run death of a Colquitt County man in Sylvester.

Investigators told WALB News Wednesdsay that 25-year-old Kimberly Nicole Moore was driving the black Dodge Magnum that killed Jordan Hicks, 26, of Moultrie, early Saturday morning on Highway 33. Torronza Lemke McNeal, 30, was a passenger in the Magnum, WALB reported.

Moore and McNeal are both charged with homicide by vehicle in the first degree, according to the TV station’s website.

Worth County Coroner John Johnson told The Observer on Saturday that Hicks had pulled off the road to urinate, and was hit by a vehicle as he stepped around his car. The Magnum was found abandoned shortly afterwards, and police linked it to the accident.

WALB reported Wednesday that police believe Moore left the scene because she had a suspended driver’s license.

Hicks’ funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member. See Page 2A for full obituary information.
