Norman Park police officers arrested three Florida residents for suspected drug possession during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.

Christopher Durham, 24 and Carri Britt, 21 both of Tallahassee, Fla., and Monica Broadway, 19 of Crawfordville, Fla., were each charged with several counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. Additional charges are pending an investigation.

Norman Park Police Officers Chuck Synder and Tim Bruner conducted a traffic stop on a Honda Accord on Highway 319 North near the intersection of North Railroad Street about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday. Police said their search of the vehicle found a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, LSD and marijuana, along with digital weighing scales and plastic, Zip Lock-type bags used in the distribution and sale of illegal narcotics. The three occupants, identified as Durham, Britt and Broadway, were placed under arrest and taken to Colquitt County Jail.
