MOULTRIE -- Gary Dewayne Bivins, 35, 358 W. Mulberry St., Funston, was indicted recently in Colquitt County Superior Court on four counts of aggravated child molestation and six counts of child molestation.
Bivins allegedly sexually molested two female victims, ages 9 and 6, court documents said.
Bivins was reindicted on two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation. Only one victim was mentioned in the original indictment, but prosecutors were able to expand the case.
The defendant's case went to trial in February under the original indictment. A jury was selected, but the trial was continued because his attorney, Thomas Kirbo of Moultrie, fell ill.
In other indictments
Jason Lee Baird, 17, 1522 Funston-Sale City Road, and Larry Wayne Poole, 22, 338 Tommy Meredith Road, both were indicted for the November 2002 burglary of The Car Store, 28 Industrial Drive. Baird also was indicted for burglarizing the Magnolia Sports Complex concession building, misdemeanor shoplifting and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Both defendants were again indicted on another burglary charge, this one at Summerlin Auto Sales, 1917 N. Main St., in November 2002.
Melissa A. Clifton, 27, 6209 Old Adel Hwy., was indicted on charges of terroristic threats.
Robert Joseph Hanes, 31, 3201 Sylvester Drive, was indicted for the burglary of Loblolly Builders Supply, 235 First Ave. S.E.
Tony Sherrod Hayes, 29, 715 Seventh St. N.W., was indicted for the burglary of Tony's Beauty Salon, 1308 First St. N.E.
Tahisha M. Davis, 18, 621 Second Ave. S.W., was indicted on burglary charges regarding a home invasion in the 300 block of Fifth Street Southwest.
Cedrick L. Gilbert, 26, 843 Shy Manor Drive N.W., was indicted on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, failure to stop at the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Benny C. Parrish, 36, no address, was indicted on charges of burglary, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and first degree forgery.
Keith Wayne Truelove, 41, Norman Estates, was indicted on two counts of terroristic threats.
Tracey Lee Young, 24, 328 Second St. N.W., was indicted on first degree cruelty to children. Young allegedly whipped a 7-year-old relative with an extension cord in May 2002 causing lacerations to the back, buttocks, legs and arms, police reports said.
Donovan E. Henderson, 34, 2013 Third St. S.E., was indicted on charges of terroristic threats.
Daniel Frank Jackson, 48, 958 Sam Rents Road, was indicted for enticing a child for indecent purposes and three counts of child molestation, one count each for three victims.
Carl E. McClelland Sr., 58, 365 Newsome Road, was indicted on five counts of child molestation, two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Four victims were named in the indictment.
Randall C. Hudson, 21, 233 Lindale Ave., was indicted on five counts of theft by receiving stolen property.
Robert Lee Brock Jr., 31, 401 Fairmeadows Apts., was indicted for theft by taking a motor vehicle.
Henry S. Lawson, 46, 2715 Second St. N.W., was indicted on three counts of child molestation. The charges refer to three victims with alleged offenses occurring over the span of two years.
Joyce Faye Casteel, 52, 508 1/2 Third St. N.W., was indicted for armed robbery, three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, aggravated assault and burglary.
Paula Jean Bloodsworth, also known as Paula Hernandez and Paula Pena, 37, 5646 Cool Springs Road, was indicted for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Bloodsworth allegedly tried to rob the Ellenton post office in November at gunpoint, court documents said. She was also indicted on charges of possession of methamphetamine.
Saul Vallejo, 28, 119 Yates Lane, was indicted on charges of theft by taking a motor vehicle and two counts of obstruction.
Benjamin Jerome McGee, 21, 1108 Tenth St. S.E., was indicted on charges of interference with government property after he allegedly broke a television at the Colquitt County Jail.
Sheila D. McGregor, 27, Adel, was indicted on charges of terroristic threats, misdemeanor criminal trespass and misdemeanor battery.
Craig L. Vail, 32, 147 Lewis Road, was indicted on charges of burglarizing Tallokas Mini Storage, 1790 Tallokas Road, in December 2002.
Joshua Clayton Johnson, 24, 914 Third Ave. S.W., was indicted on three counts of theft by taking a motor vehicle and three counts of burglary. In February, Johnson allegedly stole three trucks and burglarized three convenience stores, including Sunrise Pantry, 3025 S. Main St., Express Lane, 1409 N. Main St., and Quick Mart, 103 S. Veterans Parkway, court documents said.
David Clifton Glass, also known as David Clifton James, 28, Dublin, was indicted on three counts of child molestation.
James Gary Lacey IV, 29, 122 Laney Ave., was indicted on two counts of terroristic threats, theft by taking and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
James Roger Avery, 25, 1227 Cook Road, was indicted on two counts of possession of methamphetamine and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
Michael Allen Radford, 46, 239 Halls Trail Road, Charles Wendell Spell, 33, same address, Glenda Lee Dampier, 28, and Kimberly Dawn Finn, 27, Live Oak, all were indicted on criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine. Radford and Finn also were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Spell, Dampier and Radford each were charged with an additional count of possession of methamphetamine.
Steven Ray Miller, 27, 306 21st Ave. N.E., and Kristy Diane Truelove, 18, 801 Holmes Drive, were indicted with one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Stephon L. Spradley, 17, 210 15th St. S.E., and Robert Lee Fuller, 19, 11th Court S.E., was indicted on one count of selling an illegal drug to an undercover agent in November 2002.
Joseph Allen Vaughn, 33, and Mary Melissa Vaughn, 31, both of 768 Moye Road, Norman Park, each were indicted on one count of possession of methamphetamine and one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Joseph Allen Vaughn also was indicted on one count of selling methamphetamine.
Jimmy J. Lewis, 39, 1311 First Ave. N.W., was indicted on possession of cocaine and entering a motor vehicle with the intent to commit a theft.
Elbert R. Pope Jr., 66, 24 Fifth St. N.E., was indicted on two counts of deposit account fraud.
