Continuing a legacy of excellence, Colquitt County High School’s A Cappella Choir alumni members have reunited for a spring concert.
The choir will perform Robert Ray’s Gospel Mass at the First Presbyterian Church, 501 First St. S.E., at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20. Admission is free and open to the public.
Ray's mass interpretation movement has remained a favorite among alumni and supporters of the program alike, combining contemporary gospel with 2,000 years of liturgical tradition.
"This experience has connected alumni from various graduating classes," ranging from 1998-2012, according to a press release from the choir. "Months of rehearsals have been spent reliving the fun of making beautiful music together and singing under the direction of Ms. Kathy Wright."
