Colquitt Regional Medical Center honored its employees for their years of service to the hospital and community at its 71st Annual Awards Banquet Thursday night.
The banquet, hosted by CRMC President Jim Matney and Colquitt County Hospital Authority Chairman Brooks Sheldon, recognized CRMC employees and medical staff members.
Blake Williams was named CRMC’s Employee of the Year. Williams, who has worked at Colquitt regional for two years, works in the facility operations department.
“I am honored to be given this award, but I can’t take any of the credit,” Williams said. “The credit goes to God for giving me the ability to work. I am also very appreciative to my facility operations team members and the rest of the CRMC staff that make the hospital run so smoothly. I am also appreciative to my wife for her support and to my mother, Regina Ward, for the way she raised me.”
The employee of the year is chosen from the 12 employees of the month from the previous year and is then voted on by CRMC employees.
Williams and his wife, Shianna, have been married for 3 years. They have two boys, Jacobi and Jenson. The family attends Heritage Church. While not at work, Williams enjoys softball and spending time with his family.
