A report in Thursday’s Moultrie Observer used incorrect names in a description of a June 22 shooting incident. In one paragraph of the article, the names of the deceased and the suspect were switched.
The paragraph should have read: The charges were filed a few hours after [Gina Ann] Thompson had reported that someone broke into their house the night of June 22 and shot her and [Johnny Earl] Crawford, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the day after the shooting. Thompson called for help at about 12:30 a.m. June 22.
The Observer regrets the error.
