MOULTRIE -- A Doerun man pled guilty in Colquitt County Superior Court Monday to child molestation and incest.

Daniel Dale Tucker, 37, 2957 Old Doerun Road, is facing one to 20 years on each plea. Tucker will be sentenced on Oct. 5, court officials said.

He was arrested in January for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl for more than two years, reports said. The girl stated to court officials that she was scared of Tucker and that he would hurt her when she resisted.

The victim's mother said Tucker was abusive to her at times and "got carried away" with disciplining her children. Reports indicate that he was drunk or drinking during the incidents of abuse.

"How do you decide how many years a murderer gets for taking a life? In a sense, that is exactly what Dale has done. He has murdered my children's innocence and robbed them of a father ... a true father," said the mother in a statement to the judge.
