A Moultrie man accused of nearly striking a patrol car whose driver was assisting with a traffic stop faces charges under the state’s Move-Over Law, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

Fontavions Tyshawn Gudes, 22, 125 Hunter Hills Road, was charged Tuesday with that violation and driving with a suspended license in the incident.

Police reports said that Gudes, driving a Dodge Charger, came within inches of striking the police patrol unit at about midnight near the intersection of Fifth Avenue Southeast and Washington Street.

In other arrests:

• Armond Rushad Hill, 36, 1728 Jean Ave., Albany, was charged Monday with probation violation on a Dougherty County warrant.

• Calvin Austin Jr., 35, 103 Floyd St., Sylvester, was charged Monday with simple battery and public drunk.

• Patrick Jerome Pridgen, 21, 3109 Veterans Parkway S. Apt. B-6, was charged Tuesday with driving with a suspended license and speeding.

• Patricia Ann Bailey, 51, 1221 Elliott Brown No. 4, was charged Tuesday with no insurance, defective equipment and suspended registration.

• Ivory Joe Ward, 31, 413 11th Court N.E., was charged Saturday with public drunk and public indecency.

Ward was arrested after employees at La Estrellita, 1012 W. Central Ave., reported that he committed a lewd act in the store.

• David Camarena, 35, 102 WMTM Road, was charged Saturday with failure to maintain lane and expired driver’s license.

• Melvin Lewis Dillard, 53, 511 Third St. N.W., was charged Friday with theft by shoplifting.

• Ruben Avala, 27, 209 Halls Trail, was charged Friday with driving under the influence.

• Brian Donnell Crumly, 23, 108 W. Bethel Ave., was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct.

The arrest was made in connection with a report of a disorderly conduct at the U.S. Post Office, police reports said.

• William Richard Gandy, 54, Moultrie, was charged Saturday with public drunk.

• Anthony Maurice Simpson, 35, 1309 13th Ave. N.W., and Quontavion Jones, 18, 724 Second St. N.W., were each charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.

The men were arrested after a fight was reported at about midnight in the parking lot of Checkmate Club, 13 Fifth Ave. N.E.

• Blanco Castro-Salgado, 36, 7316 Pullen Road, Damascus, was charged Sunday with no driver’s license and no proof of insurance.

• Rebecca Ann Lawson, 498 U.S. Highway 319 North, was charged Sunday with battery.

Lawson was arrested after Lark Krizan, Moultrie, reported being hit in the face and choked during an argument in a parking lot in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway.

• Nicholas Dorn, 31, 34 Rouse St., Meigs, was charged Monday with probation violation.

• Johntaveous Dewayne Johnson, 25, 608 Third St. N.W., was charged Monday with probation violation.

• Calvin Antonio Pitts, 38, 4278 U.S. Hwy. 82 W., Tifton, was charged Monday with probation violation.

• Ted Michael Wheeler, 49, 191 Brindy Drive, was charged Monday with probation violation on a Doughtery County warrant.

• Francisco Tomas Felipe, 38, 860 Ninth St. S.W., was charged Saturday with driving without a license and failure to maintain a single lane.

• Theresa Ann Chavez, 37, 1204 Sledge Road, Ty Ty, was charged Friday with two counts of criminal receipt of goods and services fraudulently obtained and two counts of financial transaction card fraud.

• Harry Ball Hart, 63, 320 Wilder Road, was charged Sunday with failure to drive within a single lane, DUI and open container violation.

• John Thomas Hitt, 52, 193 Weathers Road, was charged Saturday with probation violation.

Doerun Police Department

• Gloria Jean Clay, 42, 310 E. Free Ave., Doerun, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct and public drunk.

Norman Park Police Department

• Zane Patrick Smith, 20, and Gregory Drew Lane, 22, both of 1819 Wales Drive, Tallahassee, were each charged with possession of marijuana. Lane also was charged with tail lights required.

• Daneequa Alicia Clark, 19, 2384 Inn Drive, Tallahassee, was charged Saturday with driving without a license, speeding and child restraint violation.

Assaults

• Anthony Edmonds, Moultrie, reported Tuesday that he was beaten and robbed at about midnight in the 900 block of Eighth Avenue Southeast.

Edmonds, who flagged an officer down, said that he had been dragged down in a yard on Ninth Street Southeast and that the fight occurred a block over. He reported being robbed of $30 and his clothes.

Edmonds had injuries to the face, police reports said.

Sheriff’s Department

• Irene Sifuentes, 200 block Newsome Road, reported Saturday that a male relative grabbed her and ripped her shirt, leaving marks on her chest.

Moultrie Police Department

• Evelyn Williams, 700 block Fourth Avenue Southwest, reported Monday the theft of a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier from outside her residence.

• Lillie Phillips, Moultrie, reported Friday that an envelope containing $3,000 was stolen from her purse. She told police that while shopping in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway a man approached and began a conversation and shortly afterward a second man approached from behind and began talking with them. When she returned home she discovered the theft.

• Clarence Shafin, 300 block Fifth Avenue Northwest, reported Sunday the theft of a flat screen television and laptop computer with a total value of $800.

• Renata Haynes, 400 block Ninth Street Northwest, reported Sunday that the theft of $670 taken while she slept. She told the officer she recovered $182 of the money.

• Kacie Strickland, 300 block 15th Street Southeast, reported Saturday the theft of a wallet, debit card, driver’s license and $110 from the glove box of a 2012 Ford Contour.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Arceola Daniels, 67 Harrison St., Irvington, N.J., reported Friday that timber was cut without her permission on property in the 1200 block of Ladson Road.

A caretaker of the property reported seeing a large Ford truck and skid on the property in recent months.

• Scott A. Hart Farms, Gibbs Road reported Sunday the theft of four business checks valued at $1.

• Chris Kudela, 1100 block Georgia Highway 111, reported Sunday the theft of two deer stands from the 1300 block of Bob Taylor Road.

• Raymond Lee, 1400 block Cool Springs Road, reported Saturday the theft of a pearl necklace, gold necklace and other jewelry valued at $20,000.

Fraud

Moultrie Police Department

• Mike’s Plaza Package Store, 205 Fifth St. S.E., reported Monday that a man cashed a fraudulent $350 check on Sept. 27 at the store.

Property damage

Moultrie Police Department

• Shakara Johnson, 800 block Highland Boulevard, reported Monday that a cut tire and scratches to a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero.

• Shirley Knight, Moultrie, reported Monday that a 2007 Mercedes Benz C230 was damaged.

A witness told police that Knight’s car was struck by a black Ford Mustang.

• Margaret Willis, 3000 block Old Adel Road, reported Friday that two window screens at her residence had been pried away from the glass.

• Eastside Coin Laundry, 14 Seventh St. S.E., reported Friday that three dryers, a dispensing machine and change machine were damaged and money was taken. The amount of the theft was unknown.

• Brandy Ward, Moultrie, reported Saturday that a vulgar word had been scratched into the hood of a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier.

• Delayne Kirksey, Moultrie, reported Saturday that a mail box in the 700 block of 26th Avenue Southeast was struck by a vehicle and that a stop sign had been knocked over.

• Amanda Scott, 1100 block Grant Court, reported Saturday that a male relative broke the window of a van and left before police arrived.

Herman Scott, of the same address, told an officer he broke the window, but that Amanda Scott had broken one of his windows and flattened a tire.

No arrests were made in the incident.

• Vontricia Latoya Thomas, 500 block First Avenue Southeast, reported Sunday that a 2002 Toyota Camry was damaged, with the paint and other repairs estimated at $4,000.

• Andrew Cordista, first block Cherokee Road, reported Sunday property damage totaling $700.

• Javier Caballero, Moultrie, reported Monday that a hit-and-run driver struck his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 while he was turning left at the intersection of Fifth Avenue Southeast and Kingwood Gardens.

Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• William Braswell, 1000 block U.S. Highway 319 North, reported Sunday a 2002 Ford Explorer was wrecked and abandoned in his yard, damaging landscaping and a paper box.

Nakita Office, 1300 block U.S. Highway 319 North, told the officer that it was her truck and that a family member may have taken it after she fell asleep the previous night.
