MOULTRIE — Union Missionary Baptist Church Mission in Action will host its Annual Fellowship Program at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 24, The guest speaker will be Sister Nettie Pitts of Adel.

Pitts is a native of Miami, Fla. She is married to the Rev. Marvin C. Pitts Sr. of Adel. She was educated in the Dade County school system. Pitts worked in the nursing profession for 15 years and retired in 2001 from Neighborhood Health Insurance Company as a medical claims analvst. She is the mother of a blended family, five sons and four daughters. Pitts is a member of Greater Pleasant Temple Baptist Church in Valdosta, under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Bernard Robinson. 

“Mrs. Pitts Is very active in her mission department and her community,” according to a Union Missionary Baptist press release. “She is a prayer warrior; she ministers to inmates at the Berrien County Jail and most of all she loves being called a child of God.”

The theme of Sunday's program will be “Where Are the Women?”
