MOULTRIE -- Four Moultrie Technical College students are vying for the school's prestigious Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership.

The four finalists were chosen from 25 nominees recommended by their instructors. They are:

James Travis Brown, a cosmetology student from Crisp County;

Mary Dawn Brown, a practical nursing student from Colquitt County;

Lynda Griffin, a business office technology student from Mitchell County; and

Markita Nixon, an accounting student from Colquitt County;

The school winner will be announced at a noon luncheon March 21 at the Sunset Country Club, according to Moultrie Tech GOAL coordinator Lisa Newton. He or she will go on to compete with students from 36 other colleges for the 2003 State GOAL Medallion and a new car.
