MOULTRIE — A Moultrie man reported he was held up from behind at gunpoint and robbed early Friday morning.

Deshaun Wilson, of Sixth Street Southeast, reported he was outside his house about 12:15 a.m. Friday when a man approached him from behind. The man had a handgun, and he demanded Wilson give all his money.

Wilson gave the robber $120 cash and the robber fled the scene. Wilson gave officers the name of a male suspect but could not give a positive identification or any other information on the robber. He stated the robber’s voice sounded very similar to the acquaintance’s voice.

This is the third armed robbery reported to the Moultrie Police Department since Wednesday night.

• Mona Kienna Lee, 21, of 822 Sixth Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with no proof of insurance and a seatbelt violation.

• Detrek Sherrod Stafford, 20, of 1727 Dean Lane, was charged Thursday with criminal trespassing (family violence), cruelty to children (second degree) (third offense), possession of marijuana less than one ounce, DUI, driving with a suspended license, DUI child endangerment, a child restraint violation and an open container violation.

• Mary D. Ethridge, 42, of 422 Ashley St. in Berlin, was charged Thursday with DUI, an open container violation and speeding.

• Christopher Summerlin, 40, of 518 Indian Lake Drive, was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license and a window tint violation.



Colquitt County S.O.

• Dewey Hobson Booth, 55, of 3023 Carroll Ulmer Road in Valdosta, was charged Thursday with being a fugitive from justice.

• Joshua Caleb Walker, 26, of 985 Crosland-Lenox Road in Lenox, was charged Thursday with burglary.

• Willie Frank Lewis, 23, of 1211 11th Ave. N.W., was charged Thursday with aggravated assault.



Georgia State Patrol

• Paul Wesley Hicks Jr., 44, of 711 Eighth Ave. N.E. in Cairo, was charged Wednesday with a driver exercising due care violation, driving too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended license, DUI and an open container violation.



Other Incidents

Moultrie Police

• Janie Penix reported a thief stole her LG cell phone from her vehicle while it was parked at a house on 10th Street Southeast between 5 p.m. Sept. 1 and 3:08 p.m. Sunday.

• Gary Howard reported Thursday a male acquaintance had not returned a couch, a chair and a stool he had loaned for use at a house on 12th Street Southeast. The value of the missing furniture was $3,500.

• Jessica Perez reported Thursday a thief stole two Moneygram money orders from her Mitsubishi Lancer while it was parked at a house on Fifth Street Southeast and cashed them between May 17 and May 22. The value of the stolen money orders was about $229.86. Perez gave officers the name of a male suspect.



Colquitt County S.O.

• Kristen Dismuke, of Sardis Church Road, reported a thief stole $600 cash from her bedroom between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday.
