MOULTRIE -- The Colquitt County Habitat for Humanity is planning for its Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament. The tournament is planned for Thursday, Nov. 17, but registration space is limited.
There will be 28 teams total that will play in the tournament, but only five team spots remained as of Thursday morning. Anyone interested in playing should contact Sunset County Club. Fees are $500 for a team or $125 per individual player.
The four-man scramble tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Nov. 17. Prizes will be awarded for first place through fifth place, low gross and low net scores and closest to the pin and longest drive.
A 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, donated by Moultrie Chevrolet-Cadillac, will be given away for a hole-in-one on a par three hole. Other prizes available include Mizuno golf equipment, including irons, vacation weekends at Hilton Head and St. George Island and a football autographed by Charlie Ward, 1993 Heisman Trophy winner.
