MOULTRIE — Moultrie police officers placed two residents under arrest for various charges Thursday. One of the people arrested was released from the jail but was re-arrested for the same charge Friday.

Those who faced charges were:

• Don Cornelius Debruce, 28, of 600 Fourth St. S.W., was charged Thursday with theft by shoplifting. He was also charged Friday with theft by shoplifting (second offense).

• Faye Davis, 34, of 114 Seventh St. S.W., was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct (family violence).



Other incidents

• An employee at the Best Little Store in Georgia on West Central Avenue reported an unknown person pumped $10 in gasoline Thursday and left without paying for it. The employee stated the vehicle was a white Cadillac, but he was unable to provide officers with a tag number or a description of the driver.

• Elain Snipes, of Fifth Avenue Southwest, reported an unknown person stole a minibike from her residence between 6:57 p.m. Tuesday and 6:28 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen minibike was $1,000.

• Rawle Steinbergen, of 11th Court Southeast, reported an unknown person threw a concrete block through a window of his residence between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday. Damage to the window was estimated at $100, but nothing was reported stolen from the residence.

• Charles Brinson, of Hillcrest Avenue, reported an unknown person stole a Jennings .380-caliber handgun from his residence between Jan. 1 and 1:53 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen handgun was $100.

• Antwon Tuff reported an unknown person stole a Kyocera cell phone from his locker at the Moultrie YMCA on 26th Avenue Southeast between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen cell phone was $200.

• Nerita Bachelor and Opal Taylor, both of Circle Road, reported an unknown person spray painted on both of their houses Wednesday. Bachelor also reported the unknown person took a screen off her storage shed and cut up an old couch. Total damage to both residences was unknown at the time of report.

• Linda Simpson, of 21st Avenue Northeast, reported an unknown person stole a bicycle, car sprayer and electric heater from her property between 2 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The total value of the stolen items was unknown at the time of report.

• Stephanie Kelley, of Bryan Road, reported an unknown person threw a brick through the back door window of her residence between 7:30 a.m. and 7:05 p.m. Monday. Damage to the window was unknown at the time of report.

• Mitch Nicholson, of C. Henry Weeks Road, reported an unknown person stole a Campbell Hausfield 115-volt welder from his shop between noon Friday and 10:35 p.m. Monday. The value of the stolen welder was estimated at $200.
