MEIGS — The Meigs Mennonite School will hold its 21st annual benefit auction and barbecue chicken dinner on Saturday, May 6. The auction will start at 10 a.m. and dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The dinner will include half a chicken, grilled potato, coleslaw, bread and a slice of cake. Seating is indoors, so it will be held rain or shine.

Items for auction will be handcrafted furniture, outdoor lawn furniture, hand-stitched quilts and baked goods.

There will be hayrides, a space walk, Kiddie Korner, snow cones and blooming onions.

All proceeds will benefit the operation and expansion of Meigs Mennonite School, which is church supported and serves grades 1-12.

To purchase dinner tickets or for more information, call Nelson Hurst at (229) 294-2152, Darryl Yoder at (229) 227-6783 or Mervin Hoover at (229) 294-9072.
