MOULTRIE -- Phylise Hill of New Life Temple Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, will be the guest speaker for the annual Women's Day Program at Union Missionary Baptist Church, which will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 28.
Hill was born in Moultrie to the late Rev. Elijah Davis and Mary Louise Davis. The family relocated to Cincinnati when she was 2 months old. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of New Life Temple Church, where she currently serves as president of the singles ministry. Hill is the proud parent of four children.
She attended the public school system in Cincinnati and later attended The University of Cincinnati, receiving a bachelor of science degree in social work and sociology.
Feeling a higher calling for missionary work, Hill joined the Jamaican Children's Fund, which travels to Jamaica yearly to provide for less fortunate children, including those suffering from HIV/AIDS.
She is a board member of The Cincinnati Community Partners and a leadership mentor. Hill is currently a manager at Hamilton County Job and Family Services in Cincinnati.
