MOULTRIE -- Judge Harry Jay Altman II will hear Monday the trial of a Moultrie man charged with molesting two girls under the age of 9.
Gary Dewayne Bivins, 35, 227 Second Ave. S.E., is charged with three counts of aggravated child molestation and seven counts of child molestation. His trial was continued from February when his attorney suddenly fell ill after jury selection. At that time, Bivins was facing two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation for the alleged abuse of only one victim.
In the interim, prosecutors were able to bring forth charges relating to alleged sexual contact with a younger victim.
There is no deal on the table, prosecutors said.
Another case ready for trial is the child molestation case against David Clifton Glass, also known as David Clifton James, 28, of Dublin. Glass faces three counts of child molestation on one female victim under the age of 16, court documents said.
