MOULTRIE, Ga. — The third time was the charm for officers, who captured a motorcyclist in a police chase after he had eluded them twice.

Alejandro Enrique George-Boza, 26, Haileah Gardens, Fla., was charged Sept. 9 with reckless driving, speeding and fleeing or attempting to elude police officers.

Investigator Chris Robinson recounted that the 911 center received a call from Cook County saying that a motorcycle had outrun officers of the Hahira Police Department between Interstate 75 and Valdosta, and was last seen on Highway 37 East coming into Colquitt County heading westbound in excess of 100 mph.

Boza was riding a red 2015 Ducati motorcycle. Deputies chose not to pursue because of the dangerous high speeds, Robinson said.

Later, Boza was seen by another deputy on Industrial Drive, who took up a new chase but lost him several times due to speeds, said Robinson.

After spotting Boza on Highway 133 North near Woodmen Road, police chased him again at very high speeds through town and managed to stop him in a grassy area near Riverside Manufacturing.

According to Robinson, the only reason given by Boza for not stopping the chase was because he was scared.
