MOULTRIE, Ga.—The Moultrie Police Department is investigating after a response to shots fires led to the discovery of a person shot Monday afternoon.
According to the report, an MPD officer was dispatched to 421 Third Ave. N.W. at 3:50 p.m., arriving around 4 p.m.
No information on the victim was released, but the officer’s report identifies one man as an offender charged with aggravated assault. Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that he wasn’t arrested, however.
Three other suspects were also named in the officer’s report but weren’t shown as being charged.
Moultrie Police Department Deputy Chief Michael Cox said the incident is still under investigation. He couldn’t release any details but said he would give an update either Thursday or Friday.
