MOULTRIE — Five people reported they were the victims of an attempted armed robbery on Garden Lane early Saturday morning.

Tyler Glascow, Robbie Kimsey, Michael Berry and Allison Wilson told a Colquitt County sheriff’s deputy they were on the porch about 2:40 a.m. Saturday when two black males walked up. The two men pulled out a gun and told everyone to put their hands up and go inside the house, which they did.

The gunmen told everyone to sit on either the sofa or on the floor and to throw their phones on the floor. One of the men stayed in the room while the other began to search for “the man.”

The two men left the house together without stealing anything. Four witnesses came to the house while the robbery was taking place and called 911 before leaving the scene.

The sheriff’s deputy arrived at the house just after the gunmen fled from inside. An investigator also came to the house.

The black males were described as wearing all black clothes and carrying a black gun. No other information was available at the time of report.
